The drop of The Air Jordan ‘Satin Black Toe’ was pretty intense. At 3am August 17th, I was standing in line at the Shesha store, Rosebank ready to buy the sneaker. The line was already long. A part of me had to try accepting that I might not get the sneaker. I mean I was number 25 and there were only 20 sneakers in store.
After hours of waiting for the store to open, I didn’t get the shoe. I’ve never cried so much in my life and I’m not being dramatic.
Luckily, the day wasn’t over and Shelflife had a live raffle for the sneaker. I rushed there with my friend, who had arrived just in time to see my tears and got numbers. The first and second numbers were called and they were not ours. Third number was called and it was my friend’s number. I think he couldn’t believe it because he froze for almost two minutes. It was funny to watch.
Let me just say, my tears were worth it. The Air Jordan 1 ‘Satin Black Toe’ is a dream. The sneaker is dressed in a classic ‘Black Toe’ colour scheme of red, white and black. It is also built with a mix of leather and stain construction which gives it a luxury feel. It doesn’t end there! The sneaker has a metal wing logo on the heel.
I believe this sneaker was made by the Gods. Not only does it look beautiful but it looks amazing with everything. You can dress it with a suit, skirt or a pair of jeans. The sneaker is also suitable for any occasion and the most comfortable pair of sneakers I owe. If I didn’t treasure them so much, I’d walk a marathon in them.
I’m so in love with these sneakers, I might just marry them.
